Location:
La
Roche D'Hys is shown on the detailed Michelin map of France as 'Roche
D'Hys', in the heart of l'Auxois region of the Cote D'Or in Burgundy. It
is four kilometers from the pictoresque medieval town of Vitteaux,
50 km west of Dijon and two and one-half hours drive southeast of
Paris. By TGV, it is one hour to Montbard and one and
one-half hours to Dijon from Paris, Gare de Lyons. Vitteaux is
approximately equidistant between Montbard and Dijon.

train from Paris: Gare de Lyon to Montbard (nearest
train station) one stop before Dijon Trip only takes 1 hour. Also possible to go all the way to Dijon 1½ Hours
from Paris. (more frequent but not as convenient)
By
car from Paris:
A5 direction Lyon from the North or
East side of Paris (to
avoid Paris periferique) to A6 direction Lyon or directly to A6
from
central Paris. Exit A6 at Bière les Semur. Turn right after Toll
exit follow direction Saulieu but only for a very short time. At
about 1 Km look for signs to VITTEAUX on your left. Follow all the
way to Vitteaux. Continue through centre of town until main square
with medieval tower on your left. TURN RIGHT and continue straight
on. PASS route to Dijon on the right. DO NOT TAKE THIS ROAD. Continue straight up the
hill past the ATAC supermarket on the right until fork in the road.
TURN RIGHT direction Marcellois. At about 1Km, you will see a Barn
Building on
the right. TURN RIGHT
and follow all the way down the winding private road until you reach
the Farm Voilà you have
arrived!
By
car from Dijon: Take A38 direction Paris
Exit SOMBERNON. Follow road up RIGHT SIDE of the hill until you reach beginning of town of Sombernon, At top to the climb
TURN RIGHT. Continue past big Super U supermarket on the right. At
the roundabout after Super U take
2nd turn, direction Marcellois/Dree. You
will go through La Chaleur and Marcellois. At about 15Km along
this road you will see a large farm and a road to SAFFRES going down
to the left. DO NOT TAKE THIS ROAD. About 2 Km
after, you will see a single barn on the left. TURN LEFT onto
road and follow the winding road down to farm.
