As part of the 250th Anniversary celebrations honouring the birth of  Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Centre International de Rencontres Culturelles in Burgundy France in collaboration with the Sibelius Orchestra of Berlin organized a special international joint venture training programme to produce the composer’s great comic masterpiece opera, COSI FAN TUTTE to take place in September/ October 2006.
This international production joined together young musicians and singers from Europe, China and Canada under the expert direction of Maestro Stanley Dodds of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and renowned Canadian stage director , Jeannette Aster .  All candidates were especially selected to participate.

This programme offered an unique opportunity for young lyric artists to work together with their peers from different countries and continents, to explore a major role and perform it with orchestra in a variety of venues.

The project had two parts, the first involved an intensive training and rehearsal period at the Centre in Burgundy France, working with coaches, the director, the conductor and the orchestra on the opera in great detail, culminating in a public, fully staged performance in Vitteaux on octobre 7, 2006 before an audience of 450.
The second part of the project was the visit to Berlin as guests of the Sibelius Orchestra The singers had the extraordinary opportunity to perform the opera again, on October 13 and 15, 2006, at the historic Ballhaus Rixdorf in one of Europe’s most exciting cultural cities. The singers also visited the Hoch Schule fur Musik , attended performances at the three famous opera houses , and rehearsals of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra
